Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing their mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise with asanas that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.
Cody is a YPTT Certified Yoga Instructor (Evolutionary Education), AromaTouch Aromatherapist, and an environmentalist with years of experience leading guided meditation and pranayama breathwork. The name of these classes, “Boundless heart Yoga,” was inspired by a speech from Ram Dass, in which he discusses the boundless and undefended heart. Every class will be led intuitively and in the moment, meaning that each class will be a unique experience. Classes will be taught in a way that is accessible to all fitness levels and modifications for poses will be given to help ensure you are guided to find the yoga that’s right for your body. These classes will be a combination of Asana, Breathwork, meditation, Conscious conversation/poetry or book excerpt discussions, mindfulness, and oneness practices.
