Sweating is one way the body regulates itself. Full Spectrum Infrared saunas are designed to promote a deep, natural, cleansing sweat. In our industrialized society, we can do little to reduce exposure to toxins in the air we breathe and the food we eat. As a result, saunas are a great natrual treatment to achieve greater health and wellness. Just like light from the sun, infrared waves in a sauna penetrate up to 1-1/2 inches below your skin and revitalize your cells. The resulting deep, highly efficient sweat works at the cellular level. You sweat from your fat tissue layer out.
Since this type of sauna heats your core and not just the air, it operates at a much lower temperature. This means that the cabin is pleasantly warm instead of super hot, so you can enjoy your electronic device or even read a book.
Full spectrum infrared saunas have three different waves that penetrate different layers in your body.
The first wave is the shortest wave length. It penetrates your skin and is great for skin rejuvenation, reducing wrinkle lines, increasing skin elasticity, reducing cellulite, relieving acne, eczema, psoriasis, increasing healing time with wounds, and making the skin radiant.
The second wave is a mid-wave length penetrating the muscles, joints, and tendons. This wave reduces arthritis pain, muscle stiffness, and relieves tension throughout the body.
The third wave is the longest wave length, which is the deepest penetrating wave of infrared. It releases toxins from the fat layer. It also helps your body eliminate toxins from your internal organs. These toxins pass from the organs to the fat tissue under the skin. Then, they are eliminated in perspiration.
Studies have shown that benefits of an infrared sauna session can burn upward of 600 calories while you relax! As the body works to cool itself, there is a substantial increase in heart rate, cardiac output, and metabolic rate, causing the body to burn more calories. This increase in heart rate also helps with circulation, increases blood flow, and lowers blood pressure.
Unlike traditional saunas, which operate at extremely harsh temperatures, infrared is a gentle, soothing, and therapeutic heat that promotes relaxation and improved sleep. Infrared sauna benefits include therapy that helps you relax while receiving an invigorating deep tissue sweat, leaving you fully refreshed after each session.
Infrared saunas heat from the inside out allowing a gradual and gentle sweat
Special light bulbs heat your body (as opposed to heated air), so it won’t make your eyes, nose, and lungs ache. Infrared refers to the wavelength of the light and energy and allows you to stand the heat much longer.
In most saunas, the air is heated, which in turn warms you. Infrared causes your core temperature to rise, which makes you sweat more at a lower temperature. This allows you to reap the benefits in less time.
We provide towels, wraps, and bathrobes for your comfort, or you can choose to wear loose clothing. Just know you will probably be nice and sweaty after your session.
You are welcome to bring electronic devices into the cabin. You can listen to music, meditations, or nothing at all if you prefer.
It’s important after you sweat so much to replace what your body has lost. Stay hydrated and drink something that will supply your body with vitamins and minerals.
No. Infrared Saunas use radiant energy (like the sun) to the heat the body, not the room. Our infrared heating technology does not include any harmful UV rays.
If your body doesn’t tolerate heat well, then you should try one of our other therapies.
If you don’t feel well while in this or any other sauna, don’t hesitate to get out immediately. If you feel faint or dizzy, listen to your body and leave to cool down.
