Our lineage traces back to the original Shaolin Temple. The focus is on martial intent. This class is intended for Adults only. You may take the Tai Chi/Qigong class separately but the Kung Fu class must be taken with the Tai Chi/Qigong class as this is the foundation for all movement.
Tai Chi and Qigong are ancient Chinese mind-body practices that combine slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and mental focus to cultivate vital energy (qi) for improved health, balance, and stress relief; Tai Chi is a specific, complex sequence of movements from martial arts, while Qigong is a broader term for various exercises focused on energy building, often with simpler, repeatable movements. Both are considered moving meditations that promote relaxation, strength, and well-being.

Shaolin Kung Fu is a comprehensive Chinese martial art system developed at the Shaolin Temple, blending Mahayana Buddhist philosophy with powerful, fluid combat techniques, known for its bare-handed skills (strikes, kicks, grappling) and weaponry (staff, spear, broadsword), focusing on physical conditioning, spiritual growth, and practical self-defense using instinct and natural body mechanics, making it a foundational style for many other martial arts.
